8-Year-Old With Cancer Finds the Love of His Life

You may have heard about the story that went viral all over the world about an 8 year old boy with cancer finds the love of his life. The sweet story aired on Good Morning America, ABC News, People.com and hundreds of others. It was truly such a sweet and touching story about David and Ayla. I knew Ayla because she had been one of my fairies a couple years earlier. You can see the story here: http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/year-cancer-finds-love-life/story?id=35280068

David called Ayla Snow White because she was always so kind to him and she looked so much like Snow White. Sadly, David lost his battle in February.

After David passed, Ayla's mom contacted me to do some portraits of Ayla as Snow White. I felt honored that she thought of me.

I thought the photo shoot would be somber and tough to get through but Ayla's spirit surprised us all. The day was absolutely beautiful and Ayla played in the forest like no one was watching. I've never seen a child with such grace and such a natural born model. I never gave her any direction on modeling or posing...she just did it all naturally. I was blown away by this child.

These portraits moved me and my staff to tears over and over. After David passed, Ayla said to her mom that she wanted to be an angel, like David. Ayla, my dear, you ARE an angel on this earth.

Digital Files

I love this quote! It really summarizes how we feel about selling digital files:

What Children Think
It has long been acknowledged that family photos on display in a home, helps boost a child's sense of identity and creates a sense of belonging.
Each time they walk by a family photograph, which is countless times a day, a message is sent...

"You, my dear child, are important.
You matter.
You have a special place in this world.
You are part of this thing called FAMILY and we love you."

I wonder what they think when they walk by a USB thumb drive?"
